Yong QIU, He JING, Hanchang SHI,

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2010, Volume 4, Issue 3,   Pages 301-310 doi: 10.1007/s11783-010-0236-8

Abstract: In this paper, six PFCAs and two PFASs were quantified in surface and tap water samples from 12 sitesaround Lake Taihu near Shanghai City in East China.Occurrences of PFCs in the tap water in Lake Taihu area indicated their exposure to the local people.implied no acute or immediate risks from PFCs to local human health, but chronic risks from PFOA in the tapwater should be considered in the downstream regions.

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2018, Volume 12, Issue 3, doi: 10.1007/s11783-018-1020-4

Abstract: Bacterial community in the drinking water distribution system (DWDS) was regulated by multiple environmentalfactors, many of which varied as a function of water age.In this study, four water samples with different water ages, including finished water (FW, 0 d) and tapwater (TW) [TW1 (1 d), TW2(2 d) and TW3(3 d)], were collected along with the mains of a practical DWDSResults indicated that the residual chlorine declined with the increase of water age, accompanied by

Quantitative analysis of yield and soil water balance for summer maize on the piedmont of the North China

Jingjing WANG,Feng HUANG,Baoguo LI

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2015, Volume 2, Issue 4,   Pages 295-310 doi: 10.15302/J-FASE-2015074

Abstract: The North China Plain (NCP) is a major grain production area in China, but the current winter wheat-summermaize system has resulted in a large water deficit. This water-shortage necessitates the improvement of crop water productivity in the NCP.A crop water model, AquaCrop, was adopted to investigate yield and water productivity (WP) for rain-fedThe RMSE between the simulated and measured soil water storage at depth of 0–100 cm ranged from 4.09
